Mayor Havel called to order at 6:30
PM the special meeting of the Lone
Tree City Council with Brown, Hayes,
Wieland and Schaapveld present.
Others attending: Merry Thomae, Mike
Hart, Shelley Allison, Sandy Brown,
Bryon Houlgrave, Bob Lindley and
Steve Flake.
Hayes, Brown moved to open the
Public Hearing for the Water Storage
Project. CARRIED 6:31 PM. Mike Hart
explained the project with questions
being asked concerning color and let-
tering. No written comments were
received. Hayes, Brown moved to
close the Public Hearing. CARRIED
6:36 PM.
Hayes, Schaapveld moved to
approve RESOLUTION 2003-UU
(ADOPTING PLANS, SPECIFICA-
TIONS AND FORM OF CONTRACT
FOR THE 2003 WATER STORAGE
PROJECT). CARRIED.

Engineer Hart opened and read
the bids received for the Water Storage
Project. Bids received were: Maguire
Iron Inc.: $443,900.00; C B & I Water:
$472,375.00; and Caldwell Tanks, Inc.:
$513,400.00. Hayes, Brown moved to
approve RESOLUTION 2003-MY
(APPROVING AWARD OF CON-
TRACT FOR THE 2003 WATER
STORAGE PROJECT UPON
REVIEW OF THE BIDS AND REC-
OMMENDATION BY THE PROJECT
ENGINEER), with contract to go to
apparent lowest bidder: Maguire Iron,
Inc• CARRIED.
Acceptance of water meter project
tabled until work session•
Hayes, Wieland moved to pur-
chase and plant one 5" willow tree,
one 2" ginkgo tree and one 2" red
maple tree for Richard and Vida
Wollrab and to p!ant them no later than
April 15th of next year. CARRIED.
Hayes, Schaapveld moved to send a
letter to the Wollrabs concerning the
trees. CARRIED.
Hayes, Schaapveld moved to pay
New Horizon FS for the two risers that
were put in at the end of the new storm
sewer project. CARRIED.
Hayes thanked Mike Hart and
Hart-Frederick Consultants PC for
their good work done on the
street/storm sewer project•
Schaapveld, Hayes moved to
approve Change Order #1 to DeLong-
Keith Construction, Inc. to allow for
extra days of construction time and
$5150.00 for the extra utility conflicts
within the project. CARRIED.
Hayes moved to pay the bill pre-
sented for the water leak location effort
in Rail Road Park. Motion died for lack
of a second.
Hayes, Wieland moved to have
Lindley talk to the homeowner on the
corner of Center and Elm Streets and
inform him that it is okay to leave his
sidewalk repairs for the time being, but
it wilt need to be fixed properly later.
CARRIED.
• Hayes, Brown moved to adjourn
the special meeting and convene to a
work session.
CARRIED 7:35 PM.
Mayor Havel declared the meet-
ings adjourned at 8:46 PM.
