Sferenberg of Fulton, III. writes us concerning a bunch of Texas bred Angus heifers sold in Chicago in late June bringing $17.85 which was the top market price for that day. Their weight averaged 955 Ibs. and dressed 64.50%• They were purchased in Sept. and weighed 470 Ibs. These calves were put on self feeder in March. KENT BABY BEEF SUPPLEMENT was fed all the time they were in the feed lot and he states that he could not have picked a befler feed for the job. Mr. Sterenberg also sold a car lot of steers ~n July, topping the market at $18.00. These were the only $18.00 caffle in the yards that day. They weighed 1165 Ibs. per head. "1 can truthfully say in all my years of feeding cattle that I have never fed a feed that will consistently make market toppers like KENT BABY BEEF SUPPLEMENT. I sincerely recom- mend it to any good caffle feeder." GRAIN & FEED CORP. LONE TRy]E, IOWA NICHOLS GRAIN& FEED CORP. NICHOLS, IOWA \ Let's tear your electric bill to pieces Go AHEAD, lady--tear your electric bill apart and see what it's all about. This little piece lights all your lamps. This one plays your radios. This cools and keeps your food. This washes your clothes. This takes care of the cooking and ironing and cleaning. And so on. That's a lot of different jobs to be covered by one small bill. And--hold on! You've paid for more than just el~tric- ity. About 250 el every dollar you pay /or electric sere/co goes in turn for taxes wl~'ch benefit your com- munity and help pay for the war. Taxes UP .... General cost of living UP .... You'd think the cost of electric service would be up, too. But it isn't. It has even come down a little since the war began. Actually -- The average family ~ets about twice as much elec- tricity for its money today as it did t~fteen years a~o! This welcome fact comes from the careful planning and progressive spirit of America's business-managed, self- supporting electric companies. * Hear NELSON EDDY in "THE ELECTRIC HOUR" with Robert Armbruster'~ Orchl~fro.
