"The Thin Man Goes Home"
Even the screen's "most perfect"
wife must have her in-laws.
They were chosen for Myrna Loy
at the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studios
for the new William Powell-Myrna
Loy co-starting film, "The Thin Man
Goes Home," which shows Saturday
and Sunday, October 27th and 28th at
the Lone Tree Theatre. Powell's pa-
rents are played by Harry Davenport
as Nich Charles' father, Dr. Charles,
and Lucile Watson as his mother.
Davenport stepped into the role di-
dectly from two previous Metro-Gold-
wyn-Mayer assignments, "Kismet,"
with Ronald Colman and Marlene Die
trtch, and "Meet Me in St. Louis,"
starring Judy Garland. Miss Watson
returned to Hollywood several
months ago from a successful run in
the New York stage hit, "Watch on
the Rhine," and has appeared in four
screen productions since that time,
the most recent being "My Reputa-
tion."
"The Thin Man Goes Home" marks
the first of these pictures in which
the parents of either Nick or Nora
have been introduced. Davenport and
Miss Watson have the unique dis-
tinction of fathering and mothering
one of the most famous of all screen
couples.

and Thursday, November 1, at the
Lone Tree Theatre.
For Rogers' fans the picture offers
entertainment of the high quality
that has made him the country's No. 1
cowboy star. He rides Trigger, sings
and outwits the villains with the bree-
zy charm that has earned him the
title of King of the Cowboys. In addi-
tion there is the comedy supplied by
the ace of Western funny-men, Geor-
gem"Gabby" Hayes in another of the
roles he enjoys most, that of a can. ]
tankerous well meaning but bung-i
ling old rancher. Dale Evans topst
the feminine cast and introduces two
new songs destined to become hits.

heavy and Peggy Stewart, Beverly

eye-appeal of the film.
The story revolves around the el,
forts of a Broaaway chorus girl to
sell a ranch she owns but has never
seen, in an effort to get money with
which to back a musical comedy.
Rogers and Gabby Hayes manage to
convince her of her mistake only af-

The picture introduces a half doz-

several of which were written by
members of the Pioneers.
