"The results of this survey demonstrates the true quality of care that UI Family Care services provide," said Steven Wolfe M.D., Medical Director for University of Iowa Community Medical Services Clinics. "All of us expect high-quality treatment of our medical condition, this sur- vey demonstrates our service commitment to a total high-quali- ty patient experience at our UICMS clinics." "We were proud of our results and feel that this is indicative of the efforts of our physicians and staff." The annual survey was con- ducted last fall by Sullivan/Luallin, Inc., which has conducted more than 100 surveys for prominent healthcare institu- tions across the country. Jayne St. Club News Care center celebrates nursing home week Lone Tree Health Care Center will join thousands Of long term care providers in Iowa and across the nation in cele- brating National Nursing Home Week, beginning Mother's Day, May 12. This week - long cele- bration honors the residents, staff, and volunteers working and residing in long-term care facilities. This year's theme, Celebrating the Seasons of Life, conveys the richness of life nursing facility residents pos- sess, both through a reminis- cence of the past and the dynam- ic influence of the present. The theme also demonstrates the ongoing contribution quality care makes in the lives of senior Americans living in nursing facilities. Through providing excellent service, caregivers cul- tivate a standard of care that inspires and positively impacts those around them. Lone Tree Health Care Center is making plans for a week of activities and event for the enjoyment of residents, fam- flies, staff, volunteers, and the community. Some of the activi- ties include Outdoor games, Wheelchair races, Beach party, Egg races, and Crazy day. Community members are encouraged to participate or vol- unteer, as well as tour the facili- ty. "We encourage the communi- ty to visit out facility and partic- ipate in a special activity for our residents and staff," said Judy Hills, administrator. "This week is a special time to recognize the special people in the long-term care community, and hope you take advantage of this opportu- nity."
