Lone Tree Family Practice Center scores well in patient survey
The physicians, physician
assistant and staff of Lone Tree
Family Practice Center recently
received high marks for care in an
annual patient survey.
The clinic and staff exceeded
the regional average in the areas
of ease of making an appoint-
ment, courtesy of the staff and
prompt communications. Of
those patients surveyed, 91 per-
cent saw a provider within 15
minutes and 98.3 percent said
they would recommend the clinic
to others. Patient comments
included "your service is excel-
lent," and "Everything is excel-
lent. Keep doing a stupendous
job."
Other areas in which the clinic
excelled include:
Explanation of procedure,
access to health information
materials
Physician listening to the
patient
Hours of operation and ade-
quacy of parking
° Overall satisfaction with the
practice.
"The results of this survey
demonstrates the true quality of
care that UI Family Care services
provide," said Steven Wolfe
M.D., Medical Director for
University of Iowa Community
Medical Services Clinics. "All of
us expect high-quality treatment
of our medical condition, this sur-
vey demonstrates our service
commitment to a total high-quali-
ty patient experience at our
UICMS clinics."
"Those surveys are important
tools for us to see how we com-
pare to others and to identify
areas where we need improve-
ment," said Terry Protextor, exec-
utive director of UICMS. "We
were proud of our results and feel
that this is indicative of the efforts
of our physicians and staff."
The annual survey was con-
ducted last fall by
Sullivan/Luallin, Inc., which has
conducted more than 100 surveys
for prominent healthcare institu-
tions across the country.
Sullivan/Luallin compares the
clinic's data to other clinics on a
local, regional and national score
basis. The UICMS Clinic
Network exceeded the regional
and national comparisons in all
survey categories.
