Iris I. Conklin, 91 of Iowa
City, died Wednesday, March 23,
at the Lone Tree HeAth Care
Center in Lone Tree following a
brief illness.
Funeral services for Iris were
held Saturday, March 26 at the
Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home in
Lone Tree with Rev. Cathy
Whitlatch officiating. Casket
bearers were Doug Bean, Jeff
Bean, Andy Conklin, Joel
Schintler, Steve Harris and
Michael Seeber. Burial was in
the Lone Tree Cemetery. A
memorial fund has been estab-
lished in Iris's name at the Sor-
den-Lewis Funeral Home.

Iris Ilene Linsley was born
October 15, 1913 in Riverside,
Iowa the daughter of Joseph H.
Iris I. Conklin
1913-2005
and Mildred (Hawthorn) Lins-
ley. Iris was a 1931 graduate of
Riverside High School. On July
2, 1931, Iris was united in mar-
riage to William "Dick" Con-
klin in Iowa City. She lived the
majority of her life in Lisbon,
Iowa then moved to Iowa City
in 1971. Iris worked as a book-
keeper at Cornell College and
also at Eicher Florist in Iowa
City. She was a member of the
Lisbon United Methodist
Church and the Lisbon Ameri-
can Legion Auxiliary. She
enjoyed crocheting afghans for
her children and grandchil-
dren.
Iris is survived by her son,
Michael L. Conklin and his
wife Diane of Lake Forest, Illi-
nois and daughter, Carol J.
Bean and her husband, Richard
of Ainsworth; five grandchil-
dren, Doug Bean and his wife,
Janice of Westerville, Ohio,
Angie Harris and her husband
Steve of Iowa City, Jeff Bean
and his fianc6, Genea of Well-
man, Sydney Ann Conklin of
Lake Forest, Illinois and
Andrew M. Conklin of Chicago
and eight great grandchildren.
She is also survived by two
nieces, Marilyn Burich of Iowa
City and Evelyn Hylbak of Mt.
Vernon and three nephews,
Gale Baldridge of Columbus,
Ohio, Richard Conklin of Wick-
enberg, Arizona and Robert
Conklin of Washington.
Iris was preceded in death by
her husband, William "Dick"
Conklin, two sisters, Laurel
Angelsberg and Joy Neal and
two brothers, Dale and Carl
Linsley.
Coral Rose Hill
1930-2005
Coral Rose Hill, 74 of Lone
Tree died Saturday, March 5, at
the University of Iowa Hospital
and Clinics in Iowa City.
Graveside funeral services
for Coral were held Saturday,
March 26, at the Lone Tree
Cemetery with Loren Yoder
officiating. A memorial fund
has been established at the
funeral home in memory of
Coral. The Sorden-Lewis
Funeral Home of Lone Tree
handled the services for the
Hill family.
Coral Rose Cook was born on
May 26, 1930 the daughter of
Jessie W. and Winifred E (Herr)
Cook in the Columbus City
Township in Louisa County.

united in
marriage on
October 23,
2004 at 4 p.m.
.The ceremo-
ny was held
at Salem
Lutheran
Church,
Lake Mills,
Iowa, and
officiated by
Pastor Roger
Dykstra.
Parents of
the bride are
Lyle and Deb
Escherich of
Clear Lake, Iowa and the
groom's parents are Rodney
and Linda Janssen of Des
Moines.
A dinner and dance recep-
tion was held at the Best West-
ern in Clear Lake after the
ceremony. In addition to their
parents, other honored guests
included: aunts and uncles of
the groom, Jerry and Nancy
Escherich-Janssen
Coral was united in marriage
to Arthur E. Hill in 1948. Coral
worked as a telephone operator
and later worked for the Uni .............
versity of Iowa as a housekeep-
er. Coral enjoyed spending time
gardening, sewing and crochet-
hag in her early years.
Coral is survived by her
three sons,. Steven of Lone
Tree, Tim of Coralville and
Daniel of Redondo Beach, Cali-
fornia as well as three grand-
children, Gena, Heather and
Christian and four great grand-
children, Kay Leigh, Jonathan
Colton and Taylor.
Coral was preceded in death
by her parents and her hus-
band, Art in 2003.

Lone Tree.
The bride
graduated
from Lake
Mills Commu-
nity School
and the Uni-
versity of

software engineer at Holmes
Murphy and Associates in
West Des Moines.
The groom graduated from
Sigourney Community School
and is employed by Ignition
Interlock Systems of Iowa as a
technician.
The couple honeymooned in
Nassau, Bahamas and resides
in Des Moines.
