to them and we converted some
from sprinters to distance, they're
going to fill some needs and some
spots where we already have bod-
ies and they're going to help us
out in some events."
"Skylar Pettit is a sophomore
who moved from Belle Plaine,
shes a thrower, and she's learning
the ropes," said DeVaul.
Returning runners include Nico
Smith, Karli Burr and Sydney Alt,
who along with Morgyn Edwards,
ran a 4xS00m relay in 11:06.55 for
a second place finish at the state
qualifying meet.

The Lone Tree girls finished
last season with 20 members, and
they begin the 2016 season with 21.
Many of the girls stayed in good
physical condition, participating
in basketball or volleyball or both.
"I would rather take a multi-
sport athlete, over someone who
just focuses on track," explained
DeVaul. "I know that doesn't
sound right, but it gives them ver-
satility in different events."
