I
Christine Viner, 92, of
Nichols, died Tuesday, Febru-
ary 22, 2005 at the Simpson
Nursing Home in West Liberty
following an extended illness.
The funeral service was held
Friday, February 25, 2005 at the
Nichols Christian Church. Bur-
ial was at the Nichols Ceme-
tery. A memorial fund has been
established.
Viner was born on Septem-
ber 5, 1912 in Nichols, Iowa the
daughter of George and Estella
Nelson Metcalf. She graduated
from Nichols High School in
1931. She was united in mar-
riae to Gaclord Viner on

December 1, 1934 in Nichols.
The couple farmed in the Letts
and Nichols area for many
years. She was a member of the
Nichols Christian Church.
Survivors include her hus-
band Gaylord; two sons: Deane
Viner of West Liberty and
Robert (Judy) Viner of Lone
Tree; six grandchildren, eleven
great grandchildren and two
great great-grandchildren. She
was preceded by a daughter:
Kayelynn; a sister: Pearl
Demry, a brother: Robert Met-
calf and a great grandson
Justin Gillham.

University and works for Group Pub-
lishing, Inc in Loveland, Colorado.
Pace is the son of William and Chris-
tine Pace of Charleston, South Carolina.

• Mortgage Group and has a Bachelor O f Science degree in Business Admnistration from the
College of Charleston.

Singles in Agriculture will be having a weekend activity in
Washington, Iowa, on March 11-13, 2005.
There will be a dance Friday, March 11; tours, free time in
Kalona antique and quilt shops, dance lessons, dinner and dance
Saturday, March 12; and breakfast Sunday March 13.
