to be held in Ainsworth Feb. 26
Ainsworth Elementary Sup-
port Organization will be hold-
ing a day-long scrapbooking
and stamping event on Satur-
day, February 26th from 9 a.m.-5
p.m. at the Ainsworth Elemen-

hand with displays, samples,
make-and-take projects, and

son registered by February 18th
and $12 per person registered
after that date. Walk-ins are
welcome, but it is strongly rec-
ommended that you pre-regis-
ter to ensure that enough tables
are available. Although some
items will be available for pur-
chase, participants should
bring their own stamping or
scrapbooking supplies and be
ready to have fun.
Sub sandwiches, chips, cook-
ies, pop and bottled water will
be available for sale during the
day. Door prize drawings will
take place throughout the day
as well. To register, call

Proceeds will go to help sup-
port educational activities for
students at Ainsworth Elemen-
tary and to help purchase edu-
cational materials that are not
allowed for in the school's regu-
lar budget.

The Reporter is compelled to
put out only a four page paper
this week owning to the fact
that our shipment of paper is
snowbound somewhere
between here and Chicago, but
we were lucky in having
enough on hand for our usual
local news pages. This is a first
for us.
The Town Council met in
regular monthly session. Bills
were allowed and remainder of
the evening spent discussing
the waterworks. The question
of waterworks will be submit-
ted to a vote at the spring elec-
tion. Don't anybody buck the
proposition or we'll turn the
hose on 'em.
There will be an entertain-
ment and box social Wednes-
day evening March 1 at school
No. 6, Lincoln Township.
Ladies are requested to bring
plain boxes. Minnie Hauri,

The rural mail carriers have
been unable to make their
entire trips for over a week. It
takes lots of shoveling to open
up 25 miles of road and the
mailmen will wait until
patrons get the roads in shape
for them.
Measles are about to break
up the schools at Solon.
Locals are scarce the past
week or two. Almost too cold to
move around much.
Mercury registered 34
degrees below zero Monday
morning. This is the coldest it
has been in Iowa for many
years.
The annual moving time is
close at hand again and a great
deal of it will be going on in
this community during the
next couple of weeks.
