Historical Society plans musical event
this year
Submitted by Ron- Rife,

with tophat.
The Lone Tree Historical
Society is planning a special
display about musicians
through the years in the Lone
Tree area when it opens to
the public this spring. The
museum plans to display
instruments, uniforms and
pictures of bands that and
musicians that have com-
prised Lone Tree's musical histo-
ry.
In order to make the display as
complete as possible the Society
is asking people of the area for
pictures and artifacts. As this is a
special exhibit the Society will
accept personal items on loan for
the display and they will be
returned at the end of the year.
We also have received several
beautiful gowns and would like
some men's dress clothes from the
late 1800's and early 1900's for
display with the gowns. We would
also like any information about
clubs and fraternal organizations
that have existed, or still do exist,
in the Lone Tree area. We have
information on some of the
groups, but are always grateful for
more. If anybody has any items or
information please feel
free to contact a member
of the Historical Society.
It is also the
time of year for member-
ship renewal. If you have
been a member, or would
like to be one, the dues
are just $10 per person
per year for an excellent
cause. This is a commu-
nity project and the
Society would like to
have the whole community
involved. Many of you have made
generous contributions of items
and money in the past. However,
our financial advisor has informed
us that dues and donations must
be accounted for separately.
Therefore, any dues you pay can
not be considered part of your
contribution.
