Linda Forbes to retire after 35 years with
University of Iowa Healthcare
After over 33 years at Lone Tree Family Practice and two years at University of Iowa Health Care River
Crossing in Riverside, Clinic Manager Linda Forbes is retiring Thursday.
An open house will be held from I p.m. to 2 p.m. at the River Crossing Clinic on Friday in her honor.
With 43 years of experience in her career, Forbes, said she will miss interacting with all of the people She
has come to know.
"It's always good to see people that you know come back to us," she said. "You realize how many pedp!e
have come and gone since you've started."

Uncle Forbes has worked for UI Health Care for about 35 years. The clock on her left was given
to her as a going away present by UI Community Medical Services, and was made by Schlabaugh
& Sons of Kalona.

Richards 7-0 in his consolation round match, and went on to defeat Wapello's Jacob Kerr in a
wrestle-back to earn a State berth at 2151bs.
Harry Miller is the second Lone Tree wrestler to be headed to the State Meet in Des Moines in two seasons
for Lone Tree.
High School Principal and head wrestling coach Bret Jones said Miller the second person to qualify for the
State Meet since the school stopped sharing and began their own wrestling program and only the fourth
in school history.
Harry Miller takes a lack-luster 17.23 record to the State Meet at 2151bs,
Coach Jones pointed out that Miller is recognized online at www.thepredicament.com as the only Class 1A
wrestler to qualify for the state meet this season with a losing record,
"He's not a losing.record caliber wrestler," said Jones, "I was looking back through his season and we even
went through a stretch where he lost nine out of ten matches- and some of them to the same kid, Everybody
wrestles some good kids and he's had to wrestle them over and over again - that's like being a victim of the
schedule,"
